Cassie Post

ACTOR

Cassie began acting at the age of nine, and quickly discovered her passion when introduced to Shakespeare's plays by her teacher, Bob DeWeese, in the arts alternative North Kitsap Options Program. She also acted in many community theater productions before broadening her experience with the Seattle Children's Theater classes and productions. In middle school, Cassie began applying to performing arts school around the U.S. while continuing to be active in theater at her school and in her community.

Although accepted into the Vancouver (WA) School of Arts and Academics and Orange County (CA) Performing Arts High School, Cassie chose to move locally to Bellevue, WA and take advantage of the highly regarded theater program at Sammamish High School. In her Sophomore year, she applied and was accepted into the Interlochen Arts Academy theatre program for 11th and 12th Grade and awarded a $16,000 Scholarship. Upon graduating, she auditioned for and was welcomed into SUNY Purchase College Acting Conservatory (awarded a $4,500 Acting Scholarship) where she received her BFA in Acting. 

Professionally, Cassie has had the pleasure of working with Casting Directors Susan Shopmaker, Randi Glass and Lois Drabkin. Other collaborators include Zev Buffman, Gary Sandy, Phil Proctor and David Ossman of Firesign Theater fame, Melinda Peterson, Amy Walker, David Gideon, and Akil Apollo Davis.
